Rnd 1: sl st in 1st ring, (2 dc, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 1. 3 dc) in 1st ring, (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in 2nd ring, join w/ sl st to 3rd beg ch
Rnd 2: ch 3, * (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in ch-sp, rep from * , 3 dc bet 3rd and 4th dc, + (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in ch-sp rep from +, 2 dc in same place as beg ch 3, join w/ sl st to 3rd beg ch
Rnd 3 to end: work same as regular granny square until desired size

Front and Back Square

join with sl st to form ring
sl st in ring
Rnd 1: ch 3, 2 dc in ring, ch 3, turn, 1 dc in ea dc (including beg ch, total 4 -- 3 dc + ch), turn back, (3 dc in ring, ch 3, turn, 1 dc in each dc, turn back) 7 times, join with sl st in 3rd beg ch; 8 petals, 8 spaces
continue as with plain/traditional granny square--flower will function as 1st 2 rounds of square

with flower color, ch 10, join w/ sl st to form ring
Rnd 1: sl st in ring, working in ring - initial bobble, sc, (bobble, sc) 7x, join w/ sl st, finish off

with green,
Rnd 2: join w/ dc to any sc, 2 dc in same st, work corner in next sc, (3 dc in next sc, work corner in next sc) around changing to background color with last yo
